A Celebration of French Cuisine
Where heritage, harvest and hospitality come together
Spend five unforgettable nights at Château de Gudanes celebrating the timeless traditions of the French country kitchen. As summer brings an abundance of berries, fragrant herbs, tomatoes, courgettes and orchard fruits to the French Pyrenees, each day unfolds through the rhythm of the season - gathering around the kitchen table, visiting local markets and producers, and preparing beautiful meals inspired by the region's rich culinary heritage.
Guided by our château chefs, you will discover both historic and contemporary French cuisine through a series of hands-on workshops and demonstrations. Together we shall recreate treasured recipes once prepared within the château itself, master classic pâtisserie, chocolates and elegant desserts, while learning the stories, techniques and traditions that have shaped French gastronomy over the centuries.
Beyond the cuisine, we will explore the rituals of the French table - from beautifully dressed linens, silver and porcelain to the fascinating history of dining customs that transformed every meal into an occasion.
Whether you are discovering French cooking for the first time or are an accomplished home cook, the Cooking In The Cuisine Atelier offers an inspiring balance of learning, creativity and conviviality.
Guests are warmly invited to share any favourite French dishes they hope to master before their arrival, allowing us to thoughtfully tailor elements of the experience. Our hope is that you return home not only with cherished château recipes, but with the confidence, inspiration and joy to gather your own family and friends around your own table for years to come.

Upon meeting, your luggage will be carefully loaded into the château van before we journey through the picturesque countryside and into the French Pyrenees. We kindly ask that you arrive five to ten minutes before departure so that our journey may begin together at a leisurely pace.
At the conclusion of your stay, we depart the château at 11:00 am, with light refreshments thoughtfully prepared for your onward travels. If you are extending your time in Toulouse, we kindly ask that you make your own way to your accommodation from one of these locations, as the château van is unable to access many of the city's smaller streets.
Should your travel plans require arrival or departure outside these scheduled transfers, we would be delighted to assist in arranging a private driver in advance (additional price).
