La pleine expérience The château in full

Experience the Château in Full

Built in 1741, very nearly lost, and now coming back to life. A workshop retreat lets you live inside it for three to seven nights: all meals and drinks, the brocantes, the kitchen, the valley, a candlelit dinner in the Salon de Musique, and the run of the château with a small group.

The Gudanes Experience

La Vie de Château

There is a particular pleasure in waking in a château like this: light across old stone, the valley below, and breakfast waiting. The days are slow here by design, with the pool, the grounds and the mountains on every side.

Nothing is staged. The château is lived in while it is brought back. A night here is your room, breakfast in the morning and the lounge to come back to.

Brocante Antiques and New Comforts

It is a restoration, not a renovation: the walls stay as the centuries left them, protected by law. Within them, each room mixes antiques found at the brocantes of the valley with what has to be new, the beds and the bathrooms, so the château feels lived in rather than furnished.

After years of careful restoration, the owners brought it back from a ruin. The atmosphere is warm and not spooky at all.
