Bake the day away in the Château pastry kitchen, visit pâtisseries, the local boulangerie, and throw a bit of flour in the air! It's a celebration of all things French pastry. 

The heart of the home is in the kitchen and that's where we'll be, learning new baking tips and tricks, making new friends, and sharing special moments together.



Jour 1 | Arrive and Bienvenue

  • Let's meet at the Capitole Square in Toulouse at 10am and on-y-va it's off to Labo&Gato, a pastry supply shop, and Maison Pillon to pick up pastries for dinner

  • Get to know each other over lunch at a French neo-bistro in Toulouse

  • Allons-y to the Château

  • Welcome aperitif and introductions in the Château kitchen, the "heart of the home" 

  • Magic Carpet BBQ on the Château terrace


Jour 2 | Macaron Mania

  • Petit dejeuner at the Château

  • A trip to the local boulangerie for a baguette and pastry making demonstration

  • Historical tour of Château de Gudanes and its parc

  • Light lunch at the Château

  • French Macaron baking class

  • Château dinner


Jour 3 | All things French!

  • Petit dejeuner at the Château

  • Drive to the town of Saint-Girons for the lively outdoor market filled with farm products and handmade items

  • Pique-nique and brocante perusing for antiques

  • Relaxing afternoon and drop in tarte au citron class

  • Casual Château dinner


Jour 4 | Lets get cooking!

  • Petit dejeuner at the Château

  • Regional dessert baking class

  • Light lunch

  • Kitchen discussion about culinary traditions and the original 19th century Château cookbook 

  • A demonstration cooking class led by local french friends from the village, Marie Andrée and Monique, on how to make local trout with almond cream, boiled potatoes from the Chateau garden, green salad vinaigrette and apple croustade (yum!). Monique's grandmother was the cook for the family who lived at the Château in the 1940s


Jour 5 | Gratitude and Champagne

  • Petit dejeuner at the Château

  • Visit a local chocolate maker in the tiny village of Roquefixade

  • Lunch at a local bistro

  • Prepare the Gratitude Dinner, set the table together and make an elegant dessert

  • Champagne in the Salon de Printemps followed by a candlelit Gratitude Dinner in the 18th Century Salon de Musique 


Jour 6 | Au Revoir Mes Amis

  • Petit dejeuner at the Château 
  • Pack-up and goodbyes at 11am

  • Travel back to Toulouse to arrive at 1pm

Cost - €2,950 per person

This includes: 

  • daily breakfast, lunch and dinner prepared by international and local chefs

  • unlimited beverages - house wine, house spirits (the drinking kind), house beer and non-alcoholic

  • dual occupancy accommodation and shared bathroom facilities

  • organised activities

  • use of the Chateau's facilities including tennis court, pool, bicycles and wifi in selected areas

  • complimentary laundry facilities for own use

  • transfers to and from Toulouse

Excludes flights to Toulouse, personal spending money and personal insurance
