Making a place for the laundry. The floor which had fallen in has now been reinstalled and tiled with the original terracotta flooring. Next the repurposed sink will be fitted by David and Tim.
Last summer one of the old oak trees fell during a storm. Now it is being milled, to make Château sized, 4 poster beds. Eric brought his machinery onsite to mill the tree while the horses looked on. David Clark, our Château restorer introduces the story.
In July 2015 the very first restoration workshop was held at the Château. Hosted by Messors it was an incredible two weeks of sharing the Château with a guests from around the world who have become our friends and Château family.

Antoinette had been living on her own in the Château for over ten years. We found her little kittens, one day, just after we bought the Château. Antoinette and three of her sons are now part of our family.
Catalonian workers found a large hole in the ground near one of the medieval towers. Legend has it, that tunnels existed below the Château to the local village.
Brace yourself. I made this video before the restoration began. It's fast and furious because when we bought the Château, our family and friends truly thought we were crazy. So I thought to myself, if I speed it up and twirl it around, they won't be able to really see all the work needed.
