The monogram contains the initials of Château de Gudanes, in 18th century script, and is found within the delicate ironwork on the front terrace. The monogram is situated on a contrasting charcoal background giving an aged look to the charm. The charm is designed and made in Australia, and is cast in sterling silver using the 'investment casting' (or, cire perdue in French) technique. Each charm is handcrafted, cleaned and polished to a high finish. On the back of the monogram, engraved into the design is the percentage of silver content, and the designers initials as her own signature: AML - Anna McLean.
The handcrafted nature creates a subtle uniqueness to each charm, and allows us to see beauty in both imperfection and difference. This difference is also reflected in the unexpected design of the charm, which still acts as a unique and personal display of elegance.
All proceeds will directly contribute to the restoration of the Château.
